HRC Rules and Guidelines

1. Purpose

These guidelines are designed to create a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone at Hamro Run Club. Our community is built on mutual respect, support, and shared enjoyment.

2. Community Values

• Be respectful and inclusive to all members regardless of background, ability, or experience.

• Create a positive and supportive atmosphere.

• Represent Hamro Run Club in a way that reflects our values.

• Remember: Hamro means “ours”  we all contribute to the community.
   

3. Member Expectations

Respect & Behaviour

• Treat everyone with kindness and respect.

• No harassment, discrimination, bullying, or inappropriate behaviour will be tolerated.

• Respect personal boundaries at all times.

Inclusivity

• Be welcoming to new members.

• Support runners of all levels and abilities.

• Avoid forming exclusive groups that may make others feel left out.

Communication

• Be mindful of how you communicate, both in person and online.

• Avoid offensive language or behaviour in group chats and social media.

• Raise concerns respectfully and constructively.
   

4. Captain Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

• Lead by example and uphold club values at all times.

• Foster an inclusive and supportive environment.

• Ensure no member feels isolated or unwelcome.

Conflict Management

• Address issues calmly, fairly, and without bias.

• Listen to all parties involved before making decisions.

• Escalate serious concerns to the core team where necessary.

Communication

• Provide clear and respectful communication.

• Be approachable for feedback, concerns, or suggestions.
   

5. Social Environment

• Encourage a friendly and relaxed atmosphere during and after runs.

• Be respectful in social settings, including post-run gatherings.

• Look out for one another and support fellow members.
   

6. Social Media & Representation

• Represent Hamro Run Club positively on social media.

• Do not post content that could harm the reputation of the club or its members.

• Always respect others’ privacy before sharing photos or videos.
   

7. Feedback & Concerns

• Members are encouraged to share feedback, suggestions, or concerns.

• All concerns will be treated seriously and respectfully.

• Where possible, confidentiality will be maintained.
   

8. Accountability

• Members and captains are expected to follow these guidelines.

• Repeated or serious breaches may result in further action by the club.
   

9. Acknowledgement

By being part of Hamro Run Club, you agree to uphold these community guidelines and contribute to a safe, respectful, and positive environment for everyone.
